Now it becomes popular to use Tungsten weight for plastic lures. The specific gravity of pure Lead is 11.35 and the specific gravity of pure Tungsten is 19.3. So if Tungsten is used, action of the lure becomes sharper and also this weight surely contribute for long casting.
